The real answer might surprise you.

Are you a leader or a follower?

It feels like one of those questions where you’re expected to pick a side and stick with it forever. But honestly, I don’t think it’s that simple.

For me, the answer really depends on the situation your in and where you are in life.

There are times when I naturally step up as a leader , when I’m motivated to take initiative, guide others, and make things happen, Those moments tend to happen usually when I feel confident and clear about the path ahead.

But other times, I know it’s better to step back, listen, and follow. When I’m learning or when someone else has the right vision for the moment, being a follower doesn’t make me any less capable or valuable. In fact, the best lessons come when your willing to observe and support instead of always leading.

What I’ve realized is that leadership isn’t a fixed label it’s fluid. It changes depending on what the moment calls for and what you need to grow. And knowing when to lead and when to follow is one of the most powerful tools you can have on your journey.

So, am I a leader or a follower?

My answer is both. And that’s okay.

Because sometimes the strongest leaders are those who know when to listen and sometimes the best followers are quietly learning how to lead.

For me, that balance is where growth really happens
